Dubai gets another fashion week as organizers vow to spotlight Mideast, India

DUBAI: The UAE is set to get another fashion week.

Scheduled to take place from Dec. 16, the three-day event is dubbed Fashion Week DXB and aims to spotlight design talent from the Middle East and India.

While the full list of participating designers has yet to be revealed, event goers can expect to see couture label Amato by Filipino designer Furne One, Omani brand Atelier Zuhra and a former International Woolmark Prize nominee Varoin Marwah, who have been confirmed to present their latest collections.

In addition to catwalk shows, the event will also include a space for creatives and designers to showcase their creations.

The venue is yet to be announced.

The forthcoming event joins a lineup of existing fashion weeks in Dubai, which includes Arab Fashion Week, Middle East Fashion Week, Arab Men’s Fashion Week and Fashion Forward.
