DUBAI: House music supergroup Swedish House Mafia will headline the after-race concerts at the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November, organizers announced on Wednesday.

The multi-Grammy nominated group will take the stage at the event’s 14th edition on Nov. 18 at Etihad Park in Yas Island.

The trio, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell, are the first global act to be announced.

Their debut album, “Paradise Again,” is due to be released in April.

John Lickrish, CEO of Flash Entertainment, said in a statement: “Announcing Swedish House Mafia as our first confirmed artist for the four-day festival is testament to our commitment to deliver the level of performer that fans have come to expect from this special weekend.”

Other international acts will be announced shortly, he said.

This year’s race weekend takes place from Nov. 17-20 at Yas Marina Circuit.

Early ticket purchasers who book in April will be rewarded with a discount of up to 30 percent off selected tickets for the four-day weekend.
