DUBAI: Following news that singer FKA filed a lawsuit alleging Shia LaBeouf was physically and emotionally abusive during their relationship, musician Sia has shared her own accusations against the actor.
“I too have been hurt emotionally by Shia, a pathological liar, who conned me into an adulterous relationship claiming to be single,” she tweeted. “I believe he’s very sick and have compassion for him and his victims. Just know, if you love yourself — stay safe, stay away.”
“Shia LaBeouf hurts women,” FKA Twigs’ lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, said in its opening lines. “He uses them. He abuses them, both physically and mentally. He is dangerous.”
An email sent to a representative seeking comment from LaBeouf was not immediately returned, but in an email to The New York Times the actor said: “I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt.”
