RIYADH: The Saudi national football squad on Tuesday arrived in the Spanish city of Alicante for their first training camp ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which kicks off in November.

The Green Falcons’ camp will run until June 9, during which Herve Renard’s team will play two friendly matches, the first against Colombia on June 5, before taking on Venezuela four days later.

Both friendlies will be played at the Estadio Nueva Condomina, in Murcia.

The players and technical staff were met at Alicante airport by Nabil Al-Zahrani, head of the protocol department at the Saudi Embassy in Spain.
