DUBAI: Lebanese designer Sarah Beydoun, founder of Sarah’s Bag, has taken to Instagram to tease the mini documentary “Five” that follows the journey of five women entrepreneurs from different countries around the world.
The collection of short films highlights the efforts of the women who are committed to improve and uplift their communities through their purpose-driven businesses.
Commissioned by MasterCard, the project aims to bring awareness to some of the world’s most critical issues and is dedicated to creating positive impact, driving action and building better communities, according to a post that the designer shared on Instagram.
“I am so proud to represent Arab women through these short films,” she wrote to her 105,000 followers. “So many things have changed since this documentary was shot, from a global pandemic, to a total economic collapse in Lebanon, to the 4th of August Beirut blast, but I am as determined as ever to carry on with my mission.”
