DUBAI: Jordanian-Romanian footwear designer Amina Muaddi is starting a new business venture with US rapper ASAP Rocky.
Muaddi’s label and the singer’s creative agency AWGE are partnering on a collection that is set to launch on Dec. 11, the designer said.
The collection by the longtime friends features the Paris-based designer’s signature flared pumps, lace-ups in black and rainbow and cinderella-like heels.
Muaddi’s creations have garnered a following of famous fans, including Dua Lipa, Gigi Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin Bieber.
This year has been especially fruitful for Muaddi. In July, she released a limited-edition footwear capsule collection with Rihanna’s Fenty. Fenty x Amina Muaddi was honored this week as Collaborator of the Year at the 34th edition of the FN Achievement Awards.
In November, she unveiled two new creations, a satin handbag and crystal-embellished earrings alongside her fall 2020 collection of shoes — just in time for the holiday season.
